First off, you have forgotten everything you knew about fashion. And you said, the tight clothes will no longer do it. You’re going to want clothes that lay against the body, rather than clothes that look like they were painted on.

There are some simple basics that will take you far. A nice pair of black dress pants is great–you can wear them to work, or you can wear them out. Express has a lot, and they are very flattering on everyone. Get a tan pair to wear with brown. Some of the stores will carry the kind of cloths that you are looking for it is the question of what kind of running around are you willing to do to have cloths that you want.

Look for the “Christie fit” because it has a bit of a younger look (so you won’t look matronly). A black or grey pencil skirt is good to have too (again works for going out or work). Express has these, and you can actually find some nice ones at cheaper places. A crisp white button-up shirt is a MUST HAVE because it will ALWAYS be popular and look good. You can actually find some nice ones at most any store that you go to and again this will consist of you having to drive to many different stores so you can find the right one that matches you.

You’ll also need a good pair of dressy jeans. My favorite brand is paper denim and cloth…they are ridiculously expensive, so I don’t buy them in stores. Auction web stores are a lifesaver for stuff like this. Go to a store that has this brand (chip and pepper is good too). Try on a bunch to find your size. Then go onto a web store and search for the jeans you found. They usually have brand new jeans with the tags still on for less than half price. I don’t know how they do it. But it is so worth it.

Well, you’ll want more plain colored shirts now. H&M has great fitted long sleeve ones. Rich colors are in right now like plum and dark green. In addition to this, invest in a couple nice accessories–like a big structured bag or some chunky silver jewelry. They add a lot to an outfit.

The dress sounds great and you can wear it with either hose and pumps or tights and boots. Either way will look fabulous. If it were me I’d probably do the hose and pumps for the company dinner because that’s the more conservative look, and wear the knee high boots for a dinner out with friends. I am a huge fan of your idea of dark wash jeans and the sweater–personally I’d go with red or another bright color. The ankle boots sound cute. It’s probably getting a little chilly for open-toed shoes anyway (I just live on the dangerous side). Any type of heels and jeans just looks so classy in my opinion. The cropped jacket sounds cute, as does the velvet pea coat. The jacket says “I’m such a fun gal!” and the peacoat says “I’m fun but much to classy!” so it is up to you. Both choices sound great.

A pant suit is a great idea, and I would recommend that under it she wears a nice top that would show a bit of bust. I would suggest a suit with a jacket that is a bit tight around the waist and then loose to give her bust some shape, and straight trousers to make her look longer.

A nice top would be a wrap top to show her bust off. Another thing saw can wear is a top that is a bit long, say, reaching to her knee. Over a straight trouser. She can try to get a top that has some embroidery or jewels, or a hint of gold or silver colors to fit a wedding.

You have all the basic color slacks, three basic suits, some fun skirts and a wide variety of tops that should look really well with your bottoms. I’m at a loss for you not being able to make great outfits out of your pieces! You are probably just being too hard on yourself.

To make your shoulders look wider, we play some visual tricks. Blouses with lapels are great…leaving the top 2 or 3 buttons open and spread the collar/lapels out. The points of the collar draw the eye outward. Very slight padding in the shoulders of the blouse will also help. Tops with shoulder ornamentation are also good…epilates, ties, buttons, etc.

Wider shouldered jackets and those with exaggerated lapels are great! Go for some of the military styled jackets that are coming back this year…they usually have a lot going on to help shoulders look wider. In terms of bras, I love Victoria’s Secret. The IPEX bra with the wire is worth trying on because the shape of the cup naturally lifts the breasts without padding. Try a few different models on and see which lifts you while also providing nice shape.

The long legs are a physical characteristic most women would kill for. So we’ll really want to accentuate them while playing down your waist. Exercise is going to help get your belly and waist back in shape but until then, here are some strategies. Short waited women need to avoid wearing tops tucked into their skirts or pants.

You want to call all attention away from the location and/or size of your waist so all tops need to be both long and worn out. Tunics are a great option. If you plan to wear a belt, it needs to be low slung on your hips, not around your waist. No color changes can take place at waist level. We are looking for continuous color from your shoulders to your hips.

Go for longer jackets and avoid cropped tops of any sort at all costs! Also avoid fitted tops. We do not want rolls highlighted. Wear high heels as much as possible. In terms of skirts, knee length or a bit longer is fine. Make sure there is no detail at the top…no tucks, gathers, pleats, etc. Look for a clean line skirt that is either straight or a-line. Details at the hem are fine. Go on the web site and look for some Companies that you think there clothes are nice. Here are some brands that you might want to try and look at on the net that you might think would be good to go with your body shape Great Bateau- Neck Tunic and some other coordinating pieces including a great skirt, cardigan, pants for the fall and winter.

Also look at the Off-shoulder swing tee…in fact, just cruise the site and see if anything grabs you. In terms of dresses, I didn’t see anything that really grabbed me on some of the site that I went on. But maybe it is just me, but you could see for yourself.

I would recommend a faired sheath dress as your best option.They are a classic and the details, if any, are usually at the neckline or shoulders. Should be easy to find in department stores. Just look for something that has shape but is not form-fitting and just gently flairs as it reaches the hem. No cinched waists or belts. Go for darker colors as well.

If you find something two toned or multicolored, just make sure the color change does not occur at or around your waist. So of the clothing out there will look like they don’t change color, but if you look good or if you have them in the right light then you can see that the color on the clothing will change. Just keep in mind that one day you will wear clothes that show off your body, then from that day on you can wear anything that will make you feel comfortable.
