Co-Registration – A Source of Leads For Network Marketers?

Many network marketers feel bombarded by the tasks necessary to make money and build a business. They must focus on building a contact list, contacting the people on the list, creating effective marketing material, placing ads, and getting their website seen.

Co-registration is an excellent way for network marketers to ease the load of building their business while quickly building a profitable marketing list.

What is Co-registration?

Although everyone has seen co-registration in action, many people do not know what the word means. Co-registration is a method of generating opt-in leads by placing information about your offer on someone else’s website. Visitors to the site view your offer and indicate whether they are interested. You then receive the number of leads that you are willing, or able, to afford.

Co-registration is not the same as placing an advertisement. Think about the last time you responded to an offer or confirmed your subscription to a newsletter. You probably got a screen or a pop-up box with several other offers, each with a check box for you to indicate your interest in that offer. That was co-registration in action.

Benefits of Co-registration

Co-registration offers several benefits to network marketers. Among those benefits are:

* Affordability. You place an order for co-registration leads based on what you can afford. You decide, in advance, how much you are able to pay, and you receive the leads for which you have paid.

* Opt-in leads. The people who respond to your offer are people who have requested more information. They are people who are interested in what you are marketing, whether it is a product or a business. Co-registration can quickly build your list of opt-in leads, sometimes by the thousands overnight.

* Ease of use. With co-registration, you no longer worry about pay-per-clicks, optimization, or keeping your banner ads fresh. You are actively building your list without the need to constantly drive visitors to your information request form.

* CANSPAM compliance. The leads you receive through co-registration are people who have requested more information. It is not SPAM to send them requested information.

* Targeting. You can target your list by choosing co-registration leads related to your offer. For example, if you are selling chocolate, leads from a fitness site may not work for you, but leads from chocolate, candy and confectionary sites will.

Hazards of Co-registration

As with any other method of building your network marketing business, co-registration does have a few pitfalls that you will need to avoid.

* Too many offers. If the site that presents your offers is also presenting a long list of offers from other people, it decreases the chances of you being noticed. This also decreases the number of leads you are able to receive. Look for sites with small- to medium-sized lists.

* Price. Co-registration leads are priced per lead. This can run from a few cents to a few dollars per lead. The cheapest leads may not be the best for your business, but the most expensive may be way out of your budget range. Try to find co-registration sites that are within your budget while also offering quality leads.

* Quality. With every good thing, someone decides to ruin it in order to make money faster. With co-registration, there are those who provide outdated, low-quality leads. Typically, these leads are not people who have requested information, but are old names from a cheap list. Not only will they be a waste of your time, you may face issues with SPAM complaints. Shop around, and look for guarantees and customer feedback. Scammers will show up quickly on forums and websites for network marketers.

* SPAM complaints. While the leads are people who have asked for more information about your offer, they may not remember making the request. You may have a higher rate of SPAM complaints with co-registration leads. Use a separate autoresponder for these leads, and be sure you give them a way to opt out of receiving more messages.

Co-registration can build your list to thousands of names overnight, but you must know what to do with them. The trick to using co-registration in network marketing is to have a high-conversion offer ready for the leads.

Whether you are using a newsletter to lead into your offer or you go straight into your offer on the first email, you need to be ready. If you are, then you are on your way to using co-registration leads to build your successful network marketing business.

Failing In Network Marketing Is NOT Your Fault

Thousands of people use network marketing to build a home business. Unfortunately, it is well known that the failure rate in this business is over 90%.

There are many reasons for this, but the key one is that many network marketing companies do not have business models that support you as a distributor. As a result, the cards are stacked against you from the start.

Here are some compelling reasons why failing in network marketing is NOT your fault.

You know the story: you have done the training, did three-ways calls with prospects, purchased leads, attended the “rah rah” company events, etc. We could go on and on. The bottom line is that you STILL failed! You wonder, “What in the world is wrong with me? Why can’t I make it?”

The bottom line is you are failing because your network marketing company is not taking good care of you. It does not have a strong foundational model of integrity. None of this your fault!

Here is another point to consider. Have you ever noticed that some companies have huge multi-million home offices? You see this on many of the companies’ websites.

Have you ever thought about where the money comes from? In network marketing, money comes from the compensation plan. Companies don’t have multiple streams of income; they just have the compensation plan. Unfortunately, in spite of multi-million dollar home offices, the money does not come back to you in the compensation plan.

If this sounds bad, things go down hill even further. If a network marketing company has a huge home office, doesn’t it make sense that some sort of maintenance would be required? You know, things like a cleaning staff, upkeep for the grounds, electric bills, water bills, etc. How about workmen’s compensation, 401(k) s, vacation, sick, and family leaves? What about those bonuses and cost of living salaries? A company has to have this in place for its employees. Now, where is the money to fund all of this coming from? The compensation plan!

The sad truth is that you and other distributors will never use your network marketing company’s multi-million dollar building, BUT you still have to pay for it and the upkeep. That’s hardly fair at all.

Let’s give this further thought. With a company model such as we are discussing here, where do you think their model will go in the future? Will they have more or fewer expenses? If you yelled to yourself, “More Expenses!” you got it.

Here’s another thought. Have you ever wondered where your network marketing company’s warehouse is located? I’d dare say that most people haven’t even thought about this. Usually, most cities have places called warehouse districts with low costs and low rents. So, it makes good business sense to house company stock in these districts, right?

In reality, many times this does not happen. A number of companies have their warehouses right next to their home offices. Other than looking pretty impressive, it really is a total waste of money. Now, some companies have their businesses in warehouse districts, but many do not.

Are you beginning to see why you are failing in MLM, and how your network marketing company’s business model is the problem here? With huge overhead costs, which are funded by the compensation plan, there is little to pass on to you and other distributors. Now, there are some great network marketing companies out there that have very strong business models that support the distributor, but you have to really search them out.

So, here are some compelling reasons why you are not having success with your network marketing home business.

Persistence Is The Key To Network Marketing Success

Persistence can help you achieve great success in your business. Persistence may be the one underlying character trait in all successful entrepreneurs, business owners, self-employed, freelancers, and more. They all must have persistence. Without it, they might just give up when things do not go as they are planned or when there is a loss instead of a profit.

What is Persistence?

According to Dictionary.com, persistence is the act or fact of persisting, the quality of being persistent, continued existence or occurrence, and/or the continuance of an effect after its cause is removed.

This definition can easily be applied to any person, whether they have great persistence or just a little. The strange thing is that it seems that everyone has at least a little bit of persistence in them, and in training it can become greater. Just look at children and the way they behave. Children are extremely persistent in that they will try the same thing over and over again until they either accomplish their task or are suppressed by a parent.

For example, when a child is learning how to walk he or she will consistently try to stand every day. Eventually he or she will then take a few steps and fall. That fall never seems to phase them; they just keep on taking those steps until they can walk, then run, and finally jump. That is persistence in its purest form. The child just keeps getting up after falling and taking more steps until the task of walking is finally accomplished. Their persistence continues with learning how to run, jump, and then communicate, read, write, and so on.

This is just one example of persistence, and one that shows we all have persistence within us. Even if you feel that you are not persistent, you are, and you can become more persistent by creating worthwhile accomplishments and gaining confidence in yourself, your work and your life overall.

How persistence can lead to your MLM success?

Persistence is the one thing you need (not want) to have in order to become successful in your MLM business. It takes a lot of hard work, effort, and some failures to create a successful MLM business. The key is in continuing your efforts and learning from your mistakes. It can be difficult to analyze your failures, but it can mean the difference between success and not progressing as fast as you could. When you know what is working great and what is not, you can change it so you are more productive in your MLM business and earn more profits.

Keys steps to take to Become More Persistent

As stated before, you can become more persistent if you do not believe that you are. Also, your persistence (if you are a highly persistent person) might fade over time with your MLM business endeavors. This requires consistent check-ins and review of your progress to maintaining high persistency!

1. Create Goals: Your goals must always be realistic. When you accomplish even the smallest of goals write them down and cross them off of your list when complete. This will help feed your self-confidence and business confidence and show you that you can accomplish what you set out to, in turn increasing your persistency.

2. Maintain Your Goals: Keep your goals up to date, and don’t be afraid to revise them when necessary. Goal planning can sometimes take time to get used to and learn how to do effectively. If you need to revise a goal, do so with no guilt. These are your goals for your business.

3. Planning: Plan for successes as well as failures. Everyone falls before they learn to walk, and even then we fall from time to time. The important thing is to focus on what your successes are and why they are successful and keep doing that, as well as increasing this part of your work. The hard but necessary part is to examine your failures and find out why they didn’t work. This will help you stay focused on what is successful instead of wasting your time on work that doesn’t turn any profits or accomplishments.

Persistence is the one key nearly every successful entrepreneur holds. Without it, there would be no success because everyone would simply give up. You can become more persistent with the right effort, work, determination, and analysis, even if you are not known for being persistent.

Building a Business Selling Other People’s Stuff

Do you want to work online? Do you want to build your own business? Do you have a dream of working for yourself, from home, where you could work as many or as few hours as you like and still make a good living?

A lot of people have that dream too, but what’s the best way to make it come true?

Chances are when you start on this journey, you’ll end up joining some get-rich-quick schemes but you’ll soon realize that only a select few make money this way, and unfortunately the odds are against you.

However, there are in fact many multi-millionaires being made online.

Most of them are selling their own products they’ve developed; but nearly all of them are also selling products as affiliates or network marketers.

What does that mean? Selling as an affiliate or network marketer means working as a commissioned salesperson, or making money selling other people’s stuff!

While the product owner takes care of billing, customer service, refund requests, tech support and so forth, the affiliate or network marketer just recommends the product to others, and gets a hefty sales commission for doing so… which can often be as high as 50-75%, and sometimes even 100%, for digital downloadable products.

Why would a product owner offer such high commissions? They do it because 25-50% of your sales, and every other affiliate’s sales, add up to a lot more than 100% of their own sales. In other words, they wouldn’t be selling those products at all without you.

Why would anyone offer 100% commissions? Because they want to give you a good reason to promote their product (usually at a fairly low price point so they don’t mind giving up the sales money) in exchange for building their list of opt-in subscribers. Everyone who pays you the 100% commission for the product also ends up signing up with the product owner to download it, so it’s a win-win scenario.

Now here’s the biggest question: how do you get people to buy products through your affiliate or network marketing link when it seems everybody online is promoting the same thing?

There are numerous ways to get the attention of a customer, which leads them to buy through you.

1. Pay per Click Direct-to-Merchant

Many people are making great money online by purchasing clicks from Google AdWords or other pay per click search engines, and sending that traffic directly to the product owner’s sales page through their affiliate or metwork marketer link. This can be very profitable if done right. The main drawback is that only a couple of people can use the same domain name when promoting through AdWords, so rather than using your affiliate link as it is, you should create a redirect link. The other drawback is that the traffic you have purchased may be interested in other products you’re promoting, but you don’t have contact with those people once they’ve clicked through to the sales page, so that’s a lost sales opportunity.

2. Pay per Click to a Landing Page

This method uses the same type of pay per click advertising, but sends people to your own landing page first. You can offer a review of the product or some other type of unique content, before offering the visitor your affiliate or network marketing link to click on if they like your review. Again, once the people click through to the sales page, you won’t be able to contact them anymore.

3. Combination of Pay per Click and List-Building

This method is very similar to #2, sending people to your own landing page first. However, the idea is to have them opt in to your newsletter list before they get to see your review or the sales page. Once someone is on your list, you’ll be able to send them related offers down the road. But be careful that your landing page is not just a “squeeze page” with an opt-in form and no content, which goes against Google’s AdWords regulations.

4. Combination of SEO and List-Building

If you don’t want to pay for traffic or worry about operating within Google’s pay per click terms, you can go the natural search way and build traffic through SEO, which stands for Search Engine Optimization. This takes a different resource — your time — in order to properly optimize your page. You will also want to research how to do it the most effectively. However, many super affiliates and network marketers are to the point where all their traffic comes naturally from the search engines, and they get thousands of visitors a day.

To combine SEO with list building, you would once again offer an opt-in form to the visitor so that you can keep contact with them. Otherwise you’re letting them leave as easily as they came, which is a waste of your SEO efforts.

As you can see, there are numerous ways to get traffic to your sites and build your affiliate or network marketing business. If you choose an option that involves opt-in list building, then you’ll also have a growing list of subscribers who know, like and trust you, and will buy much of what you recommend.

Another way to stand out is to offer a bonus or rebate that nobody else offers. You’ll make less on each transaction if it’s a cash rebate, but not everyone will cash in on your offer, and you’ll also have more sales overall.

With a little ingenuity and effort, you can be a super affiliate or network marketer in no time.

Self-Employment: Smart Option Or Income Trap?

Why do hundreds of people chuck in their job every day to journey down the road to become self-employed?

In the vast majority of cases, it’s to escape the income trap a normal worker-boss relationship perpetuates – i.e. if you stay a “worker” then you stay in this one-to-one relationship that exists between worker and boss, where you exchange your skills and effort in return for a fixed wage every week.

The only way you can get money is to come back and do the same things all over again next week… or maybe do a little more work to get a little more pay.

This linear relationship – you work, and then get paid – fixes your income. It commits you to a life of “more of the same” week in and week out, and never really provides the extra needed to escape this cycle.

Now since the “boss” appears to be the winner here, the theory is that becoming your own boss is the first step on the road to wealth.

But is it really?

When you think of someone who is self-employed, whom do you think of?

Do you think of trades people like a plumber or mechanic? Perhaps you think of a shopkeeper or take-away shop owner?

Have these self-employed people escaped the linear income trap and put themselves on the road to wealth?

No! They are still earning a linear income, because they only make money once from each person they sell or provide a service to.

While they can maybe earn more than they could as a worker, it does come with the added costs of working longer hours, extra responsibility, and financial liability. And their income potential is still limited because they can only work for a fixed number of hours.

When seeking out self-employment opportunities, avoid those that revolve around linear income where you repeatedly do the same tasks in order to earn an income.

Instead, locate those opportunities that allow you to build residual (or passive) income.

While these do take some effort to set up initially, only a little maintenance is needed once underway to keep the income flowing in.

And what are you doing while it’s earning money?

If you are smart, you are looking to find and build another opportunity to generate recurring, long-term income for you, while you sleep, when you are on holiday, or even after you’ve retired!

Whatever you do as a self employed person; you will have to work hard at it to make it work.

But think smarter as well…

Chase passive, residual income, and wealth is a lot easier to build.
