How To Make Your Network Marketing Prospect Base Explode

As a network marketer, you know how important it is to drive traffic to your website. As a mater of fact, your very survival depends on it.

There is an often over-looked area of marketing that is ignored by many in network marketing. This area is offline marketing. While the Internet is a source used by many, there are also thousands of prospects that can be presented with your MLM business opportunity through offline sources. Here are eight offline strategies that you can use to expand your network marketing prospect, and, in turn, explode your business.

1. Use a small zip close bag and include, for example, the following in it:

- a business card
- a business opportunity flyer or mini flyer
- a discount coupon
- a mini flyer of current special

Hand our the baggies to bank tellers, retail cashiers, at your kids sport events, etc. In other words, everywhere you go!This is a quick and easy way to let folks know what you are about.

2. Print flyers with your contact information, your website address, and email address, along with any current specials you are offering. Then, contact mobile home park office, apartment complex rental offices, housing developments, etc., and ask for permission to leave flyers in their office or hand on tenant doors. You would also give the office employees a free gift or discount on your product or service.

4. Contact local bridal supply stores, bridal gown stores, caterers, tux rental centers, wedding DJ’s, etc. When contacting them, ask if you can leave your business card with them as well as a flyer for their customers to pick up.

5. Don’t overlook daycare centers! They are excellent places to contact and leave business cards and/or flyers. Make sure that for whatever company you represent, you find items that cater specifically to children or moms. Make sure your flyer clearly shows this.

6. Contact your local churches. A lot of churches hold spring and fall festivals, Christmas bazaars, plan special events around Thanksgiving, etc. Contact them about getting a table or booth. This is a very inexpensive way (generally less than $15 a table)to promote your network marketing business.

7. Connect with your local Chamber of Commerce. Many times they hold local business events that you can participate in.

8. Do you have a college in your town? If so, great! College students are always looking to lose weight, spend money, and for more ways to generate extra income. Remember, how broke you were in college? So, students are also great prospects for your MLM business opportunity.

As you can see, this is just a small list of endless strategies that you can use to market your business offilne as well as build a great MLM prospect list. Try one or more of these strategies to start off with, and watch your network marketing business explode!

How Easy Is It To Get Started In Direct Sales?

Joining a direct sales company is one of the most common ways to get started in a home business. It’s a way to earn money from home that predates the Internet.

But the questions must arise: How easy is it really to get started? How do you pick the right company?

It is very important to think about what you want to be doing when you start any business. Making the wrong choice can leave you feeling frustrated and unmotivated. The right business is something that you will continue to feel enthusiastic about.

One of the advantages to joining a direct sales company is that there are so many options out there. It’s not just Avon and Mary Kay, although those are still very popular choices. You can sell all kinds of things through direct sales companies.

Joining one of these companies also means you are likely to have support. In fact, one of the things you need to consider as you choose an opportunity is how good a mentor you can get. If you get someone who will help you build your success, your chances of succeeding greatly improve. But if your upline prefers to ignore you, you’ll have to figure it all out on your own.

You should always do some basic research on any company you are considering joining. You will want to check with the BBB. You will want to check them out on forums to see what people really think of the company.

You will also want to know what you have to do in order to be considered active within the company. Are you required to make purchases for your own use? How much do they want you to make in sales? Some companies have requirements that can make them very expensive to be active in.

You will also want to consider how many people are working the same business or similar in your area. You do not want to join the same opportunity all your friends and family are in – that’s your warm market and if they’re already in the company you’re going to have to find all your customers from scratch. Sometimes local markets can get flooded with reps from a particular company.

You also need to think about how you will be willing to make sales. Do you want to do home parties or are you looking for something you can do all online because you aren’t that comfortable in face to face sales?

Can you sell online at all? There are some companies that don’t let you mention their names online at all. This puts you at a severe disadvantage online, since you can’t sell, and it makes potential recruits fear a scam. You have to decide if you can cope with such restrictions if they come up.

One of the big advantages is that most opportunities don’t cost that much to get started. Even if you aren’t required to buy products to get started, it’s generally a good idea to try some out so that you can give genuine recommendations. Your enthusiasm will be a major selling point.

Don’t mistake any opportunity for easy money, no matter how enthusiastic your upline is about the potential. No legitimate opportunity can guarantee you a particular income, and generally speaking it takes a long time to build a profitable business. You have to be prepared to wait for the results you want, even when you’re working hard and doing everything you can to get customers.

Building Your Home Business Network

Once you have a home business going, you still have the most important job of all to accomplish, that of building your network of customers and/or clients. After all, without a network of contacts, you will not have any reason to have a business, will you? It doesn’t matter what kind of business you have chosen because in every business, whether it’s a product or service, there is a need for customers/clients.

There is no business, online or off, that can survive without benefit of networking. Even if you are a service provider of a creative nature, you need to network in order to assure that you will constantly have those who are interested in buying what you create.

For some people, the idea of networking conjures up the idea of going door to door or making phone calls to people they don’t know, but that is not the idea at all. In fact, the best networking tool is providing good service so that your customers will refer others to your business. Word of mouth is always a better sales tool than any other type of networking that you can do. Of course, even though referrals are your most effective network tool, that doesn’t meant that it is or should be your only tool.

Even with referrals, you need to do some networking if you expect your business to be successful and to continue to maintain success. That doesn’t mean that you have to get on the phone every day and contact people nor does it mean that you have to constantly surf the Internet to find others who are interested in what you have to offer. However, you do need to take time on a regular basis to perform networking activities, which may vary from contacting referrals to simply promoting your website.

The value of networking has been underemphasized in many respects, and because of that, many new businesses are doomed to fail before they are even out of the planning stages. However, you choose to network for your business is not the issue, but if you expect your business to succeed, you have to promote it.

Do not be fooled into thinking that once you have your client base, you no longer have to promote your business because if you accept that line of thinking, you will not be in business for very long. Customers are fickle, so they will not always buy goods or services from you. You need to have a backup plan for those times when “regular” customers decide to utilize the services of another provider.

Unless your product or service is unique, which is unlikely unless you are an inventor, people will go where they find the products or services they want at the price they want to pay. Always be prepared for these slow times by continually networking for new customers.

MLM Training – What to Say When You Get an Answering Machine – Scripts Included!

One of the most damaging things you can do to your MLM success is call a good prospect and leave a bad phone message. Why? Well, you may have just blown your chance at continuing a relationship with a very qualified MLM business prospect! Continue reading to learn what to say and other valuable phone message tips.

You’re ready to call your prospect and ask him to check out your MLM business by: watching a video, listening to a conference call or attending a meeting only to discover that you get his answering machine.

What do you do?

No, you don’t freak out; you leave a message that conveys such confidence that your prospect will want to call you back the minute he hears it!

At the sound of the tone, leave your message, beeeeep. Uh, uh _ _ _ hi _ _ uh I was just calling um _ _ I’ll just try later.

That only happens when you’re not prepared. So you might as well get the proper MLM training and learn it now. Then, practice it so you’re never surprised by an answering machine.

What you’re going to read here I recommend that you rehearse several times and then call your own answering machine and leave yourself a message and listen to it.

Listen to how you sound; you may be surprised. Make corrections and do it again. Continue practicing until you can leave a confident message that sounds really good.

Generally, for a warm market person (someone you know), you can vaguely state the reason why you are calling and leave it at that. He’s your friend and should call you back. How ever you normally talk I suggest you keep it that way. Don’t suddenly sound like a different person.

Here are some examples:

Hi John, this is Tim, how are you. I’m calling to talk a little business with you….

Hi John, Tim here, give me call. I’ve got something I want to run past you….

Hi John, Tim here, …haven’t talked in a while. I’d like to catch up on what you’ve been up to and run something by you

Hi John, this is Tim. Hey man, something’s come across my desk that you may find

Hi John, this is Tim Sales, we’ve not talked in a VERY long time. Give me a call when you can, I want to hear about what you’ve been up to….

And if you’re normally goofy on the phone, by all means be goofy:

Hey John, did you see the Gators beat up on the Bulldawgs? I’m calling to rub it in a little (laugh) not really, I want to talk a little business with you….

Of course, with a cold market prospect (someone you don’t know), you want to be smart with how you handle the call; give yourself the authority in the situation, in a non-assertive way of course.

Hi I’m calling for John Smith. John, you filled out a questionnaire indicating that you have an interest in a business you can work from home. I’m calling in regards to that. I’d like to get to know you a little bit and find out what you had in mind to see if it’s a fit with what I have. Let me give you my number….

I don’t have a lot of examples on this one because this is always the message I leave. The only thing that varies is how I got his number.

I don’t recommend you leave long-winded messages nor very short messages: This is Tim, call me back.

All of those examples are the first part of the message. The last part of the message should ALWAYS be the same. Let me repeat that, the last part of the message should always be the same!

Here’s the last part:

let me give you my number, 888.888.8888. I’ll give that to you again, 888.888.8888. Look forward to talking with you.

Never assume he has your number.

Never assume he heard your number the first time.

Always assume your phone (or his) has a bad connections and the entire message didn’t go through.

Many times people leave me messages and they rattle their number so fast (because they know it very well) that I have to rewind the recording several times to hear it.

Do not leave anything of value after you give your number. The prospect may hang up after hearing you say, I’ll give that to you again. So if after the number you leave something like, I’m available after 7 which is very important information, your prospect may not get that because they hung up before it played.

These phone message tips have helped me strengthen communication with MLM business prospects because I have found them to be much more willing to call me back and to talk to me. Learn and master these scripts and always be prepared to leave a message!

Fire Your Boss – Your Job Is No Good For You!

Hey working stiff! Yeah you, with the aching back from working too hard and the puffy eyes from not getting enough sleep. Do you like being used and abused? Do you like slaving away your life filling the pocket of someone else while your pockets are always empty?

Such is the plight of the employed! Remember when there was a lower class, middle class, and upper class? Now there are just the rich and the working poor. Exploitation is the name of the game for the rich. People working for them just keep getting poorer and poorer because working men and women are denied proper compensation.

Workers get paid less and less so the boss can get more and more. Massive and ever increasing profit is all that matters to the boss. Workers are not cared about at all. If a machine could replace you then you would be replaced.

Have you seen your job go overseas? It is because paying you peanuts is not cheap enough. Penny paychecks with no benefits are the best they give you, but they don’t want to give you anything. According to them, you should just be proud to be part of their team, giving excellent service so the company can keep rolling in the profits to fill the big fat pockets of the boss. Work like a dog, you lucky dog! Then die broke like a dog! It is because we get treated like animals that 95% of all Americans die broke.

It is a sad fact that workers deserve better treatment than what they are getting today. They are making the American dream possible, not for themselves, but for their boss. Consider this, when the rate of inflation goes up but your wages do not, that means you are making less money year after year. Your job is taking you down into the gutter. Soon as the job has gotten as much as it can out of you, it will toss you away like trash.

Why cater to a demeaning job that does not respect you. In order to get the respect you deserve, you need an alternative to a job. You need to take care of number one. No! Number one is not your boss like you were programmed to think! Number one is you. Putting yourself first is the best thing you can do for yourself. It also makes you unemployable!

Unemployable is good. It shows you have the self-esteem not to be pushed around and told what to do. Would you be the master of your time, your money, and your life? If so, work for yourself. Run your own business. Get the full rewards of being at the top and in control. Have the leverage of tax breaks and receiving the lion’s share of money. Invest the money and make even more money. Yes! Your own business! That is what makes people wealthy!
